Role Description:

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Tax Specialist based in Solwezi, Zambia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our financial operations, focusing on tax compliance and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations. Key responsibilities include:

• Tax Analysis: Thoroughly analyze tax regulations, both locally in Zambia and globally, to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Monthly Tax Returns: Prepare accurate and timely monthly tax returns, utilizing your expertise in tax preparation software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to address tax inquiries, facilitate audits, and ensure smooth communication regarding tax matters.
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum CA Advanced Diploma in Accountancy or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to tax compliance or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and laws, with a keen understanding of both local (Zambia) and global tax frameworks.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Prior work experience in an Audit Firm is advantageous.

Membership Requirement:

• Must be a Member of ZICA (Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants).
