Job Title: Safari Reservations Manager / Tour Consultant
Reports To: Safari Sales Consultant

Position Summary:
As the Safari Reservations Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless booking process for our clients. Your responsibilities include managing reservations, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring all aspects of our safari experiences are efficiently and accurately booked.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  1. Reservation Management: Oversee the entire reservations process, from initial inquiries to final bookings and confirmations. Respond promptly to reservation inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels. Maintain a comprehensive database of reservations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  2. Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and special requests. Assist clients in selecting suitable safari packages and accommodations based on their preferences and needs. Coordinate with clients on travel documentation, payment details, and other pre-trip requirements.
  3. Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to ensure efficient communication and a seamless booking process. Liaise with safari guides, accommodations, and transport providers to secure reservations and manage availability.
  4. Inventory Management: Monitor safari package availability, ensuring real-time updates and managing waitlists when necessary. Work with suppliers to secure reservations for accommodations, excursions, and other components of safari packages.
  5. Sales Reporting: Generate regular reports on reservation statistics, occupancy rates, and booking trends. Assist in forecasting and planning based on reservation data.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure all reservations are accurately recorded and clients receive confirmation details and relevant documentation. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the high quality of all safari experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in reservations management, particularly in the travel and tourism industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for wildlife conservation and knowledge of safari destinations is a plus.
