Position Details

Post Title: Senior Economist II

Salary Scale: MOWAS 7

Duty Station: MORUWASA Head Quarter

Report to: Head of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Economist II should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Agriculture Economics/Agribusiness, or a related field from recognized universities or institutions. A minimum of seven (7) years of working experience in a related field is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Economist II at MORUWASA, your responsibilities will include:

  • Initiating operational Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) to determine the effectiveness of managerial controls and implementation of systems, policies, and practices.
  • Evaluating operational policies and recommending improvements.
  • Reviewing management information systems and providing relevant recommendations.
  • Implementing the approved annual M&E plan.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the unit’s performance.
  • Coordinating the preparation of the unit budget input.
  • Developing individual performance objectives, targets, and standards in consultation with the immediate superior.
