Position: Research Officer Grade II – Molecular Biology (Re-Advertised)

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our team as a Research Officer Grade II in Molecular Biology. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the development of sound and fundable research proposals to attract donor funding.
  2. Ensure the timely submission of study proposals to relevant institutional review boards for approval (IRB).
  3. Conduct approved health research by efficiently collecting data.
  4. Aid in the analysis of data and contribute to the writing of comprehensive reports.
  5. Disseminate research findings through various channels, including publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at scientific conferences.
  6. Actively participate in local and international scientific forums for the exchange and sharing of health research information and networking.
  7. Identify opportunities for consultancies, respond to and implement awarded contracts to contribute to institutional sustainability.
  8. Engage in the commercialization of institutional research products for the improvement of human and social well-being.
  9. Assist in the registration and monitoring of the implementation of approved health research in Tanzania where applicable.
  10. Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Holder of a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum of an Upper Second Class or an overall minimum of Grade B for unclassified Degrees.
