Position: Kiln Planner

Areas of Responsibility: As assigned by the supervisor.

Reports To: MCC Manager

Specific Knowledge: Preferably 5 years of experience in kiln operations; experience in the cement industry is an added advantage.

Main Duties:

  1. Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders on the Maintenance system (EAM).
  2. Maintain parts inventory and follow up on spare purchases with procurement.
  3. Conduct technical reviews of spare parts and services during the purchasing process.
  4. Develop procedural manuals explaining how to perform specific tasks.
  5. Estimate costs of labor and parts for industrial equipment and adjust schedules.
  6. Assist and support the MCC manager, acting as a liaison for other departments.
  7. Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management.
  8. Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors.
  9. Prepare maintenance plans in alignment with maintenance goals.
  10. Ensure the quality of spare parts and services from suppliers and contractors.
  11. Prepare AFE justification for CAPEX and follow up on project tasks.
  12. Ensure OSHA compliance with the company and statutory requirements.
  13. Adhere to HC Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Policies, and Guidelines.

Minimum Requirements (Qualifications):

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
  2. Preferably 5 years of experience in kiln operations; experience in the cement industry is an added advantage.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  4. Proficiency in using kiln control systems and related software, adept at programming and monitoring kiln cycles, troubleshooting technical issues.
