Job Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for carrying out risk-based audit planning, reviewing financial and operational internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, reviewing management accounts for accuracy and completeness, carrying out risk assessment of MCL’s business activities, and making practical recommendations.

Full Job Description:

  1. Audit Planning:
    • Gather information for audit planning.
    • Conduct risk assessment and analysis.
    • Review internal controls.
    • Determine scope and objectives of the audit.
    • Develop audit strategy and approach.
  2. Audit Assignments:
    • Conduct financial, operational, administrative, and information system audits.
    • Perform special audits and investigations.
  3. Control Weaknesses and Recommendations:
    • Identify and discuss control weaknesses.
    • Provide recommendations for improvement to management.
  4. Communication and Reporting:
    • Communicate and review audit results with management.
    • Report to the Board Audit Committee.
  5. Management Accounts Review:
    • Review management accounts for accuracy and completeness.
    • Generate regular exceptional analysis reports.
  6. Economy and Efficiency:
    • Review the economy and efficiency in the use of company resources.
  7. Follow-up and Reporting:
    • Regularly follow up on recommendations/action points.
    • Prepare status reports.
  8. Advisory and Support:
    • Provide advisory services to management upon request.
    • Support risk management activities.
    • Support compliance review activities.
