Job Summary: The position of Examination Officer II (Music) involves supervising the marking of candidates’ examination scripts, compiling lists of examiners, estimating materials required at marking centers, overseeing the setting of test items and marking scheme, moderating test items, typesetting and proofreading examination papers, conducting post-facto analysis of subjects examined by NECTA, compiling lists of candidates appealing against examination results, and performing other relevant duties assigned by superiors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the marking of candidates’ examination scripts.
- Compile lists of examiners for various examinations.
- Estimate materials required at marking centers.
- Supervise the setting of test items and marking schemes.
- Supervise Moderators of test items and marking schemes.
- Typeset and proofread examination papers and marking schemes.
- Conduct post-facto analysis of subjects examined by NECTA to provide feedback to schools and stakeholders.
- Compile lists of candidates who appeal against National Examination results.
- Perform any other duties relevant to the functions of NECTA as assigned by superiors.
Qualification and Experience:
- Holder of B. Ed. (arts/science), BA (education), Bsc (Education), or equivalent qualifications majoring in music from a recognized institution.
- Must have good computer knowledge.
- Must be fluent in English and Kiswahili.
Remuneration: NECTA Scale
