Job Overview:
CVPeople Tanzania is looking for a dedicated Supervisor – TIS to join its team. As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing EALS activities at the TIS Plant, ensuring the efficient rotation of trucks on-site. If you have a background in logistics, customs operations, and supervisory experience, this could be the next step in your career.
Responsibilities:
- On-site Representation:
- Represent the company on-site and participate in daily meetings with project stakeholders.
- Maintain good relationships with stakeholders involved in the project.
- Team Management:
- Organize and coordinate daily activities of the team on-site.
- Ensure that all company activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
- Asset Management:
- Manage truck flow within the parking area dedicated to the company by the TIS contractor.
- Ensure effective housekeeping and maintenance of company assets and dedicated spaces.
- Operations Planning:
- Prepare and share daily operations planning based on upcoming cargo and TIS Contractor Production forecast.
- Communicate any issues with truck availability/unavailability to the Transport Manager/Control Tower Manager.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Ensure the on-site team meets performance objectives (HSE, loading speed, truck release speed, documentation collection speed, cargo inspection speed, etc.).
- Inspections and Reporting:
- Ensure truck inspections are carried out before cargo is loaded.
- Prepare daily loading and offloading reports.
- Safety Compliance:
- Participate in all safety training as required.
- Adhere to all HSE requirements of the project.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or any other relevant field.
- Certificate in Customs and Logistics Operations.
- Experience with truck fleet management.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in clearing and forwarding.
- At least 5 years of experience at a supervisory level.
