Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for a Contents Manager for TV, Radio, and Digital Platforms. The Contents Manager will oversee all aspects of program content, including researching, selecting, and supervising content for broadcast. They will manage production standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and effective communication of the company’s message. The manager will also create and approve program concepts, build relationships with stakeholders, monitor audience feedback, and maximize engagement and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in content creation, creativity, and innovation, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and values.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey clear and concise messages.
  • Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and task prioritization.
  • Experience managing teams and overseeing content management and distributions.
  • Thorough knowledge of media industry trends, audience demographics, and programming.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work under pressure.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Media, content development, production, or management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, industry-standard scheduling, and content management software.
  • Thorough knowledge of television, digital, and radio broadcast standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with the East African media landscape, audience preferences, and cultural sensitivities.
  • Experience in developing and producing content in both English and Swahili languages.
