Aga Khan Health Service, Tanzania (AKHST), an institution of The Aga Khan Development Network, is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Assistant System And Network Administrator.
Duty Station: Dodoma, Tanzania
Reporting to: Assistant Manager, ICT
Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for networked PCs, computing devices, peripherals, and telephony-related issues. The role involves problem analysis and troubleshooting to resolve incidents. The Assistant System And Network Administrator will also assist in the implementation and maintenance of international Network Infrastructure (WAN & LAN) standards at AKHST.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain, resolve, and analyze help desk tickets reported by staff, ensuring their timely resolution.
- Manage computer hardware and related tasks.
- Provide Health Management Information System (HMIS) application support for staff.
- Install and support all Infrastructure servers under the guidance of the supervisor.
- Participate in the implementation of Campus Wide LAN and Cabling.
- Direct daily ICT area operations, analyze workflow, establish priorities, develop standards, and set deadlines.
- Install, test, and tune Windows; configure software; deploy hardware; and load updates and patches.
- Diagnose problems, provide workarounds, and find solutions.
- Ensure high network availability, performance, and security of AKHST network infrastructure (LAN & WAN).
- Assess the current campus-wide network, recommend and implement design diagrams as per international standards (e.g., CISCO).
- Perform any other roles assigned by the Supervisor or his/her Designee.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s in ICT or related field from a recognized University/College.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in a hospital setting will be an added advantage.
