Position: Accounting Officer
Job Summary: As an Accounting Officer, you will hold a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the meticulous maintenance and management of our financial records. Your attention to detail, organizational prowess, and adherence to accounting principles will be critical in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, facilitating the preparation of reports, and contributing to our financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Transaction Processing: Accurately process and record financial transactions, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
- Reconciliation: Conduct bank statement and financial document reconciliations to uphold data accuracy and integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain various financial reports, statements, and schedules, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Month-end and Year-end Activities: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and precise financial reporting.
- Tax Compliance: Contribute to tax return preparation and filing, including VAT, income tax, and other relevant taxes, while staying abreast of tax regulations.
- Accounts Management: Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, encompassing vendor invoices, payment processing, and customer billing.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accurate expense allocation and reporting.
- Record Keeping: Maintain well-organized and documented financial records, both physically and electronically, to facilitate audits and reviews efficiently.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry practices to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Support the finance team in various ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Proactive attitude towards achieving results.
