    • Old Mutual invites students to apply for their Accounting Bursary program for the 2024 academic year. The bursary supports Accounting Science (Chartered Accounting Stream) studies at selected institutions, including the University of Cape Town, University of Stellenbosch, University of the Western Cape, University of Johannesburg, University of Pretoria, University of the Witwatersrand, University of Free State, University of Fort Hare, University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of South Africa, Rhodes University, North-West University, and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

    • The Old Mutual Accounting Bursary covers tuition fees, study materials, accommodation in residence, meals, and return flights home (if studying outside of the hometown). Students also have the opportunity for vacation work during holidays. Bursary recipients receive support throughout their degree, and those with excellent grades receive additional incentives. Trainees gain exposure to various finance areas prescribed by SAICA, including accounting and external reporting, management decision-making and control, financial management, risk management, governance, and taxation.

  4. Eligibility Requirements for the Old Mutual Accounting Bursary

    • Applicants must be South African citizens under 21 years old, completed or currently in Matric, not have completed any post-Matric qualifications, studying or intending to study an undergraduate Accounting Science (Chartered Accounting Stream) qualification, achieving minimum results in Matric, and committed to entering the Old Mutual CA Training Programme and working for the company after graduation.
