Job Overview:
d.light, a global leader in delivering affordable solar-powered solutions for the two billion people in the developing world without reliable energy access, is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations in Arusha, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall IT operations in the country, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of IT systems, integrations, and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department in the country.
- System Uptime and Performance:
- Ensure the uptime and performance of the country’s IT systems, integrations, and networks.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with local IT vendors to ensure services are delivered as per signed contracts and SLAs.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to users.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the IT budget for the country.
- Collaboration with Global IT Team:
- Work with the global IT team to implement new systems and applications.
- Compliance Assurance:
- Ensure that IT systems and networks comply with all applicable standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT management.
- Experience in managing IT budgets.
- Experience in working with Mobile Money, Internet, SMS, and VAS vendors.
- Experience in implementing and managing IT systems and networks.
- Experience in ensuring IT compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
