ARTISAN MECHANIC – HEAVY EQUIPMENT REPAIR (HER)
Job Purpose:
The Incumbent will be required to safely execute fleet maintenance work according to the prescribed
standards while ensuring the safety of self and others.
Job Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems with and without using provided Electronic
- Scanners/Diagnostic tools.
- Repairing and servicing all heavy equipment products within the established standards.
- Completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, and replacing filters.
- Lubricating equipment in accordance with established procedures and charts.
- Keeping equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles.
- Maintaining vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints.
- Completing work order closure sheets
- Replacing parts and components.
- Maintaining vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
- Checking fan belts, hoses, wiper blades, radiators and batteries, and other safety equipment
- Verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives.
- Maintaining excellent customer relations through frequent communication.
- Preparing accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.

Job Purpose:
The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
- Carry out planned maintenance jobs as per OEM Standard and work order completion.
- Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive
- maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, and replacing filters and other repairs
- Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication.
- Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.

Job Purpose:
The position exists an Artisan Boiler Maker for the Fabrication workshop at Central workshops.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
Fabrication of structural steel work and pipe work.
Weld using multiple processes to a high standard.
Be able to take Actuate measurements and Fabricate from them.
Be able to operate Forklift truck safely.
Lift and move materials safely.
Operate Fabrication equipment – Break Press – Guillotine – Sheet metal rollers – profile cutters.
Any other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor.
Job Specific Competencies:
Be able to weld using SMAW (MMA) & GMAW (MIG MAG).

Able to read fabrication drawings and their weld symbols.

TECHNICIAN – HV ELECTRICIAN
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Electrical Shift Supervisor, the holder of this position is responsible for assisting in
- implementation of preventive and responsive electrical maintenance of Shovels/Excavators, Mining Trucks & Drills Rigs in the mining area, to ensure maximum operational performance and reliability of the equipment is achieved in a safe and cost effective manner while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, polices, legal requirements, consent conditions and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
Specific Job Responsibility
- Adhere to the company’s planned and preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times
- Report all safety incidents immediately to the Supervisor.
- Maintain the correct and safe usage of all hand tools and company property within your section
- Attend all scheduled trainings without fail

TECHNICIAN – HEATING VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC)
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Electrical Shift Supervisor, the position is responsible for assisting in implementation of preventive and responsive electrical maintenance of air conditioning systems in the mining area –Mobile equipment, to ensure maximum operational performance is achieved in a safe and cost effective manner while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, polices, legal requirements and consent conditions.

- Respond to unplanned breakdowns when on duty timeously.
- Effectively maintain the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment for improved overall equipment effectiveness.

- Maintain the correct and safe usage of all hand tools and company property within your section. Report all defective tools, record and control all replacement of tools.

Job Purpose
Carry out predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Mobile Equipment Mining Trucks Electrical Systems to meet targeted Mechanical, Physical & Cost KPIs in order to achieve set Production Targets implementing laid down Safety & Environmental policies.
Specific Job Responsibility
