Job Description
A newly built seasonal camp in the Serengeti driving for semi luxury accommodations and luxurious service. The camp consists of nine (9) guest tents with double occupancy, which can be either two twins or single king bed with the option of adding a third twin bed. The temple also consists of one family tent, which can accommodate five adults or can we convert into two separate guest tents. Maximum capacity is 25 adult guests.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic bartender to join our team at our 10-room tented camp. As a bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage services to our guests while creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Your role will involve preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Take orders from guests and ensure accurate and consistent preparation to meet their preferences.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the camp management to develop a beverage menu that aligns with the camp’s theme and meets the preferences of our guests. Consider seasonal variations and local specialties to create an appealing and diverse menu.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences. Be attentive to guest needs and special requests, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar area, including the bar counter, equipment, glassware, and utensils. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff.
Inventory Management: Monitor beverage inventory levels, restock supplies, and place orders as necessary. Keep track of stock rotation and minimize wastage by implementing efficient inventory management practices.
Cash Handling: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly. Keep a record of sales, process payments, and provide receipts following camp policies and procedures.
Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with other camp staff members, including the kitchen team, to ensure seamless service delivery. Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and any relevant information to the appropriate team members.
Training and Development: Stay updated with industry trends and attend training sessions or workshops to enhance your skills as a bartender. Share your knowledge and expertise with other staff members, contributing to the overall improvement of service quality.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues related to beverage service. Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining the camp’s reputation.
Skills and experience required:

Two (2) year experience as a bartender in a similar setting is preferred.In-depth knowledge of different types of beverages, their ingredients, and serving techniques.Strong customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanour.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar area.Knowledge of cash handling procedures and ability to handle transactions accurately.Understanding of health and safety regulations related to beverage service.
