Abacus Parenteral Drugs Limited (APDL), established in 2009, is the largest parenteral manufacturing facility in East Africa and supplies the majority of the region's demand. Abacus is also a major employer in the region, providing employment to 1200+ people across 5 East African countries.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role located in Dodoma for a Medical Representative at Abacus Pharma (A) Limited. The Medical Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling our company's products to healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and nurses. The medical representative will also strategically identify and develop new business opportunities, maintain relationships with current customers and communicate customer feedback and market research to cross-functional teams. Some work from home is acceptable.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Pharmacy, Medicine or Business Administration)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Representative or relevant experience in a pharmaceutical sales role
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets, developing business relationships, and providing excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of the local healthcare system and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, result-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English and Swahili is essential
