UNCC Academic Calendar 2022-2023: Important Dates

 Here are the important dates, deadlines and holiday schedules on the UNCC academic calendar 2022-2023. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) is on a semester system and has approximately 16 weeks during fall & spring and 11 weeks during the summer semester.

UNC Charlotte offers courses for the full Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters and varying lengths within each semester. Each term has specific start and end dates, drop/add periods and refund deadlines.

1. August 10, 2022 is the Payment Due Date/Cancellation for non-payment.
2. UNCC Academic Year begins on August 15, 2022. UNC Charlotte Fall semester start date.
3. Spring Academic Suspension Appeal deadline is August 17, 2022.
4. UNCC Move-In day 2022 for fall is Wednesday, August 17 2022 – Saturday, August 20, 2022. Move-in arrival times will be available at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. each day of move-in.
5. New Student Convocation is on August 21, 2022.
6. UNCC Fall 2022 classes start on August 22, 2022. UNC Charlotte’s first day of Fall 2022 classes.
7. Saturday classes begin on August 27, 2022.
8. August 29, 2022 is the last day to add or drop a course with no grade @ 11:59 p.m.
9. The second Cancellation for non-payment Payment Information is on August 30, 2022.
10. September 2, 2022 is Census date for Fall Enrollment.
11. Labor Day holiday is September 5, 2022 on the UNCC academic calendar.
12. September 16, 2022 is Early Alert deadline.
13. The deadline to apply for December 2022 Graduation is September 23, 2022.
14. Unsatisfactory web Mid-Term Grading access is available for Fall 2022 on September 30, 2022.
15. October 4, 2022 is Master’s Thesis Proposal Defense deadline for December 2022 Graduation.
16. UNCC Fall break 2022 is from October 10, 2022 to October 11, 2022.
17. Unsatisfactory Mid-Term Grades are due by noon for Fall 2022 on October 14, 2022.
18. Unsatisfactory Mid-Term Grade notices are emailed to students for Fall 2022 on October 21, 2022.
19. October 24, 2022 is the last day to change Grade Type (P/NC or Audit).
20. October 24, 2022 is the last day to change or Opt-Out of Grade Replacement @11:59 pm.
21. The last day to withdraw from a course(s); grade subject to Withdrawal Policy is October 24, 2022.
22. Veterans Day holiday is November 11, 2022 on the UNCC academic calendar.
23. The Doctoral Dissertation Defense deadline is November 14, 2022.
24. November 21, 2022 is the last day to submit doctoral dissertations for December 2022 graduation.
25. November 23, 2022 to November 26, 2022 UNCC Thanksgiving Break is from November 23, 2022 to November 25, 2022.
26. The last day of classes for Fall 2022 is December 7, 2022.
27. Reading Day is December 8, 2022 according to UNC Charlotte academic calendar.
28. Final Examinations is from December 9, 2022 to December 15, 2022.
29. Final Examinations for Saturday classes is on December 10, 2022.
30. The Master’s Thesis Defense Deadline is December 12, 2022.
31. December 15, 2022 is the last day to submit Master’s Thesis for December 2022 graduation.
32. UNCC Commencement/Graduation 2022 is from December 16, 2022 to December 17, 2022.
33. Fall 2022 final grades are due by noon on December 19, 2022.
34. Fall 2022 Probation/Suspension notifications are sent to students on December 21, 2022.
35. UNCC Winter Break is from December 23, 2022 to December 30, 2022.

1. Spring 2023 Schedule of Classes available on the web on October 3, 2022.
2. Registration for Spring 2023 begins on October 31, 2022.
3. UNC Charlotte New Residents Check-In is on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 9 a.m.
4. Martin Luther King Day holiday is Monday, January 16, 2023. All residential areas remain open, but offices are closed.
5. Spring Health and Safety Inspections are from Wednesday, January 25, to Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
6. UNCC Spring Break 2023 is from Monday, February 27 2023 to Friday, March 4, 2023.
7. Refresh Weekend is from Friday, April 7 2023 to Saturday, April 8, 2023.
8. Halls Close on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 12 p.m.
