Job Summary:


The safety officer is an internal employee who is assigned to prevent accidents, respond to emergencies and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's safety programs. 


Responsibilities


Provides HSE leadership, training and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all consultancy clients

Track Company and client’s health and safety metrics and use the data to identify and to reduce risks

Assist in all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause and approving the implementation of preventive actions

Ensures emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergency situations.

Maintains all Local and International permits in current and valid condition.

Recommends and administers operational policies, procedures, and processes in support of auxiliary services operations in assigned area of responsibility; implements and monitors compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes.

Manage schedules and deadlines

Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation and implementation

Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments

Ensures that all contacts with clients provides the client with a personalized customer service experience of the highest level and builds interest towards our consultancy services

Business Development, Marketing and ensuring profitable HSE consultancy operations

Per-forms HSE activities including consultancy, training, surveys, monitoring and evaluations, and any other safety programs as necessary.

Prepares regulatory agency submissions including but not limited to OSHA Lopes/reports.

Maintains current working knowledge of all applicable HSE regulations.

Maintains all necessary training and licensing to function as a per authority on all safety matters.

Qualifications


Minimal qualification Bachelor Degree of Science in Environmental Sciences and Management

At least 3 years’ experience working as HSE in any reputable organization
