CARE Tanzania seeks to recruit a self-motivated, results driven, dynamic, suitably qualified, competent and dedicated Tanzanian to fill the position of Senior Finance Manager to be based in Dar es Salaam
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for supporting the Country Office (CO) with effective and efficient financial planning and management as well as overall compliance with CARE, donors and government rules & regulations. The senior Finance Manager is responsible for the day to day financial operations at the Country Office level; in collaboration with Regional Finance Director and through supervision s/he will implement CARE International’s financial systems to provide effective support to the Country Office. He/she plans, directs, and is responsible for providing quality financial services to projects, units and staff in the CO.
The Senior Finance Manager reports to the Country Director, works closely with the regional Finance Director and Country Office Management Team to ensure that partnership is developed between finance, programs and Program Support unit.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance or Business Management or related field
Fully Certified Public Accountant (CPA and / or ACCA)
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Required:
Minimum 7 years’ experience working in the developmental and / or humanitarian sector specific technical experience in budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, grants/contracts management and business management
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Finance Manager or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with multi donors with relevant donor policies, rules, and regulations
Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading a team with excellent leadership, coaching and negotiation skills.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with financial software applications e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning systems (Procurement, Financial, HR module)
Technical Skills:
Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and procedures and adapt local practices to global standards
Thorough understanding of financial accounting, reporting and grants and contract management processes
Good understanding of relevant donor policies & procedures
Excellent facilitation skills to conduct training sessions for small, medium and large sized groups.
Ability to maintain customer focus while handling multiple priorities
Solid analytical skills and problem solving
Excellent computer skills including use of: Word, Excel, and Power Point
