Asilia lodges and Camps Southern Tanzania Ltd is looking for an ideal procurement officer who can identify beneficial commercial opportunities and safeguard the Asilia procurement policy and procedures while maintaining a strong positive relationship with all internal and external stakeholders

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Stakeholders Engagement
Assisting the Stores Accountants and Storekeepers in stock taking and clearing any variance between actual (Physical stocks) and the system (ACCPAC)
To maintain sound co-operative relationship with other departments, providing information and advice as necessary to ensure the effective operation of the organization.
Engage suppliers and ensure they delivery and provide services as per Asilia Group requirements
Assisting in any other areas of the Procurement function as requested by a senior Manager within reasonable limits
Commercials
Negotiate with vendors to get value for money and obtain sustainable cost savings
Procure/buy efficiently and wisely, obtaining by an ethical means the best value for money from a cost/quality basis as defined by line Manager
Assist Stores and Procurement Manager in analyzing and monitoring supplier prices/cost and price fluctuations
Receiving orders and acquire goods of the right quality, at the right time, in the right quality, from the right source at the right price within the boundaries set by the department
Procure/buy efficiently and wisely, obtaining by an ethical means the best value for money from a cost/quality basis as defined by line Manager
Governance and Processes
Generating Local and International Purchase Orders
Information and advice as necessary to ensure the effective operation of the organization.
Receiving orders and acquire goods of the right quality, at the right time, in the right quality, from the right source at the right price within the boundaries set by the department
Checking deliveries and ensuring actual goods match with the delivery note, invoice and LPO.
Preparing imprest for cash purchases.
Reconciling and retiring imprest with sign off from line manager.
Assisting in any other areas of as requested by a Senior Manager within reasonable limits
Follow the company policies, rules and regulations
Organizing the collection of goods in the most economical way in terms of cost and time
Follow the company policies, rules and regulations
Preparation and updating Master Order Tracker
Logistic
Supervise and manage the clearance of Asilia Group cargo/shipment
Dealing with Inspection Company and our International Procurement Agent to make sure we are getting all the right documents for the international procurement.
Follow up with Shipping Company to get the report to the management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from recognized Institution (Certified with the Board of procurement will add advantages)
3+ years’ experience in procurement, Stores and purchasing
Excellent managerial and training skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with good listening and critical reasoning skills
Should have problem solving and decision-making skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Supervisory and management experience.
Attention to detail.
