1.PASSPORT APPLICATION
This is a new service that enables the applicant to complete the Electronic Passport Application Form from anywhere. After completing the form, he / she will be required to print it and submit it along with other documents to the nearest Immigration Office for processing his / her Passport application.
2.ONLINE VISA APPLICATION
Welcome to Tanzania Electronic Visa Application System!
You can now apply for an Online Visa to visit the United Republic of Tanzania (both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar). You are required to fill in the online form, make payment, and submit your application online. Your form will be internally reviewed and processed.
Applicants will be notified through their e-mails whether their applications have been accepted or rejected. They may also TRACK their application statuses through the online system. Applicants may as well be required to visit the nearest Tanzanian Embassies or Consular Offices for interviews.

A foreigner intending to enter and reside in the United Republic of Tanzania may be issued with an Entry Pass subject to the conditions provided under the Immigration Regulations of 1997. Currently, Entry Passes issued are

- Dependant Pass 2
- Exemption Certificate
- Special Pass
- Student Pass 1
- Student Pass 2

All passport applicants must complete all required online procedures before contacting the Embassy for submission and appointments. The following documentation must be uploaded when applying for New Passport, Stolen or Lost Passport and submitted with the application form to the High Commission:
New Passport (All Applicants must appear in person at the Tanzania High Commission for finger prints)
Requirements:
- One (1) passport size photos to be uploaded online.
- Original and Copy of the Old passport.
- Original and Copy of the Birth certificate.
- Birth Certificate or Affidavit of one of the parents.
- Original and Copy of UK residence permit .
- Marriage certificate for married women who have changed names
- In case of changes on name(s), a deep poll
- Passport Fee is $90 paid online while filling application.
- Passport application supporting letter.
- Two passport size photos
Stolen/Lost Passport
Requirements:
- Police incident report
- Newspaper advertisement
- Letter stating reasons for lost/ stolen or damaged passport
- Original and Copy of UK residence permit
- Original and Copy of Birth certificate
- Birth Certificate or Affidavit of one of the parent
- One (1) passport size photos to be uploaded online
- Fee is $ 250 lost for the first time and $ 350 lost for the second time or more
* Fee is $ 150 for damaged Electronic passport - Two passport size photos
Emergency Travel Document
Requirements:
- Original and Copy of Birth certificate
- Birth Certificate or Affidavit of one of the parent
- One (1) passport size photos to be uploaded online
- Complete the Emergency Travel Document (ETD) application form (www.immigration.go.tz)
- Original and Copy of Old Passport
- Letter explaining reasons for applying for travel documentation
- Copy of UK residence permit
- If your old passport was stolen/lost, all procedures for stolen/lost passport are to be followed before applying for ETD application
- You may be required for a telephonic interview, as determined by Consular Officer
- Application Fee is $20 paid online after application approval
