Job Overview

DTB Tanzania, a part of Diamond Trust Bank, is seeking a dedicated Sustainability Manager to lead the implementation of sustainability strategies within the bank. The role involves promoting awareness of sustainability, ensuring compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks, and enhancing the overall corporate identity of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Advise the business on sustainability matters across key functions.
Ensure ESG compliance in alignment with Bank of Tanzania (BOT) guidelines, DTB Group standards, and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate the implementation of a sustainability masterplan in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Integrate sustainability goals into business processes and the development of mainstream products.
Report on Scope I and II GHG emissions, internal operations, and utility consumption, following global reporting standards.
Measure the impacts of sustainability activities and provide reports to the board and regulators.
Develop educational content on behavioral change related to utilities consumption for employee training.
Ensure full compliance with ESG reporting standards in integrated reports and financial statements.
Conduct regular credit portfolio mapping for green financing and climate risk assessments.
Manage sustainability budgets effectively.
Identify, initiate, and manage relationships with like-minded partners.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
Relevant certification in Sustainability will be an added advantage.
Experience in working with sustainability teams locally or internationally.
