Position Description:
The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Storeman to join our team and contribute to our world-class operations.

Responsibilities:
- Receiving, storing, assembling, packing, and/or unpacking goods, ensuring no damage and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.
- Liaising with relevant trades regarding items required for task completion.
- Ensuring purchase orders reflect where materials are to be utilized and are approved by the relevant Supervisor.
- Issuing tools and ensuring cleanliness of the workshop and surrounding areas.
- Following practices to maintain a hazard-free site.
- Monitoring current stock levels, organizing existing inventory for easy and safe accessibility.
- Assisting and performing stock checks.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the stock, including enforcing Health and Safety rules.
- Listening, understanding, and following work instructions from the supervisor.
- Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of materials onto vehicles, assisting colleagues when necessary.
Qualification Requirements:
- Ordinary secondary school education.
- Practical skills in maintenance practices and engineering knowledge.
- Mines Health & Safety Act Awareness.
Experience and Competencies needed:
- Experience in a similar role, involving work in stores, driving, and yard responsibilities for a minimum of two years or equivalent experience.
- Driving ability with a valid driving license.

ABOUT THE TEAM:
The North Mara gold mine is located in north-west Tanzania in the Tarime district of the Mara region. It is around 100 kilometres east of Lake Victoria and 20 kilometres south of the Kenyan border.
North Mara started commercial production in 2002. The mine is a combined open pit and underground operation from two deposits, Gokona (underground) and Nyabirama (open pit). The process plant has the capacity to process an average of 8,000 tonnes of ore per day.
