The position of Inbound Raw Material Supply Chain Manager in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, signifies a chance to lead and shape the material management landscape. Duties and Responsibilities

Materials Management Leadership

• Spearhead all activities related to materials management.
• Plan and strategize raw material (RM) requirements for Tanzania, Zambia, and Malawi plants.
• Maintain optimal stock levels of RM across units in Tanzania.
• Generate material procurement requisitions based on requirements.
• Monitor stocks and consumption patterns weekly, providing crucial input to the imports team.
• Generate weekly reports on stock status, incorporating information on incoming stocks and expected consumption.

Inbound and Outbound Logistics

• Track incoming and outgoing consignments in coordination with the Imports and Procurement team.
• Review actual consumption versus the plan monthly, offering key inputs for revised planning.
• Monitor Goods in Transit (GIT) for RM consignments.
• Actively participate in perpetual stock counts for key RMs regularly.

Warehouse Management

• Ensure proper warehouse management with accurate transactions and stockkeeping.
• Work towards eliminating variances in RM stock.
• Implement best practices for warehouse management, including MRP, barcoding, bin management, and FIFO.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with various departments for corrections, new materials, new suppliers, and SAP entries.
• Ensure on-time deliveries of RM-PM consignments to all plants.
• Manage departmental manpower, including training staff.

Compliance and Record Keeping

• Maintain records as per Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) standards.
• Undertake any other responsibilities entrusted by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as an Inbound Raw Material Supply Chain Manager.
• Essential experience in the chemical industry.
• Relevant background in procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
