“We have continued with our preparations because tomorrow’s (today’s) match is different from the three previous ones. We will field a stronger team tomorrow (today) because the tournament is like starting afresh. You saw the last match; we played many youth team players to give them time. However, tomorrow (today), God willing, the regular players will be back. The team from Rwanda (APR) has regularly participated in African competitions, but we, Yanga, believe we will win,” Ndaw stated.

Winger Denis Nkane echoed the sentiments of readiness among the players, emphasizing the significance of the match against a formidable opponent like APR. Nkane acknowledged the difficulty of the game but assured fans that the team was fully prepared to face the challenge.

“Tomorrow’s (today’s) match is crucial, considering that APR is a big team in our African continent. They have experienced players who understand the importance of this match. So, as players, we are aware that the game won’t be easy, especially at this stage where the teams have performed well in the group stages. Therefore, we, as players, understand that the match will be tough, and we are ready to fight for the glory of our Yanga club,” Nkane remarked.
