School Background

Haven of Peace Academy was started in 1994 by a group of missionary families. Since the first 40 primary students, the school has grown to 375 in grades K-12. HOPAC gained accreditation in 2012 and is a Cambridge International Centre, offering exams in IGCSE and A Level subjects.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Senior School Principal and in cooperation with other necessary staff, the Head of PE & Sports oversees the development and implementation of physical education and sports components of the HOPAC curriculum. This role will require teaching assigned classes and oversight of other teaching and non-teaching staff.

General Responsibilities

Curriculum development, teaching PE for all grade levels, and Sports coordination for entire campus.

Qualifications

Current state or provincial issued teacher certification

Minimum of 2 years teaching/admin/business experience

Minimum of an undergraduate degree

Willing to develop a program that is in its adolescent stage
