About The Role

The EMEA mobility business is building a cities field acquisition team passionate about growing supply in small and medium-sized cities with the objective of addressing ~120 cities across 13 countries by the end of 2023.

This is an outstanding opportunity to build and manage a team across a regional geographical footprint. You will establish a highly achieving, resourceful and motivated team that will be Uber’s first boots on the ground in a large number of cities.

What You Will Do

As a Business Development Team Lead you will oversee a number of reps within our key markets, focusing on the following core responsibilities:

  • People management: Lead and nurture highly successful and engaged reps who get results. Monitor, evaluate, and develop the performance of individuals on your teams.
  • Sales leadership: Drive your reps towards short and long-term market goals, ensuring the right people and best-in-class processes are in place to get there.
  • Local / regional collaboration: Facilitate focused and productive communication and collaboration among your reps and between your reps/cross-functional partners.
  • Lead a successful team responsible for exceeding KPIs by:
  • Observing behavior to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide feedback to ensure mentorship and performance improvement
  • Validate that your reps have working pipeline to meet business targets
  • Be a thought partner to the regional operations manager regards to sales, local driver acquisition, ensuring that we have the right approach in the cities we plan to launch

What You Will Need

  • At least 1 year of experience as a team manager: you know what it takes to lead / guide / motivate teams to achieve results is required!
  • Communication: You are a good communicator both orally and in writing and can easily adapt to audiences with different levels of seniority
  • Stakeholder management: You can manage multiple stakeholders from different parts of the business (Legal, Marketing, Product, etc) and can anticipate their needs and concerns
  • #GoGetIt: You are a fast executor with a hands-on approach
  • Previous sales / account management / customer service experience
  • Analytical skils (SQL, google sheets) are a plus!
