B2C Lubricants Manager at CVPeople Tanzania

Job Purpose:

  • Bottom line accountable for Tanzania’s Lubricants business.
  • Defending sales / Developing sales and meeting sales/financial targets and other KPIs as agreed with the company Lubricants and country Managing Director
  • Manage day-to-day Lubricants operations.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance with the policies and standards of the group

Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements the relevant department/business strategies to meet the company’s set business objectives
  • Drive the development of local capability/competence in the lubricant team
  • Responsible for HSSE performance and integrity and continuing improvement
  • Achieve targets on sales volumes, commercial contribution, integrated contribution, direct costs and working capital in line with the plan.
  • Strengthen and grow the Brand equity in the Country
  • Ensure that products are the preferred choice in the market
  • Grow market share by supporting the design and implementation of suitable sales and marketing strategies
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for business growth
  • Cultivate and leverage opportunities for growth within the existing network of Customers, Distributors and Trade partners
  • Develop and maintain long term commercial relationships with key accounts and distributors
  • Contribute to the development and Implement channel management and marketing strategies
  • Maintain the lubricants business agenda as a top priority within the country and with the country Management Team
  • Drive the achievement of COMPANY growth ambitions in Lubricants
  • Grow Lubricants profitability for the Company
  • Implement a strong value chain (both fixed and variable) discount process
  • Improve competence levels across the organization and sales effectiveness of the sales force
  • Drive synergy between the businesses and operations
  • Knowledge and Experience
  • A strong commercial professional with a university degree, preferably in Engineering or Business Management or Marketing or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong experience in route to market concept
  • Strong experience in indirect/B2C sales channel and distributorship
  • Strong understanding of pricing management
  • Ability to analyse and develop proposals and solutions to a wide range of technical, operational and business issues/challenges.
  • Understanding of consumer insight and market dynamics
  • Good communicator, both written and oral.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams
  • Knowledge of lubricants business is essential
