Bora Agro Solutions is a Tanzanian agriculture products company. The company was
incorporated in Tanzania in January 2018. Bora Agro produces and sources the highest
quality products at the best possible prices. The company has a mission to reach rural
farmers and improve their livelihoods, supplying them with exceptional products which
increase their farming success.
Role purpose
This position will plan, liaise with government authorities to execute, and manage
activities related to the production of commercial maize seed and other seed types. This
will also include assistance with any field trials in the specific geographical area of
operations. To produce and supply good quality seed in the right volumes and qualities
for sale. This position will also oversee the development and bringing to market other
agricultural products such as fertiliser and agro chemicals.
Key responsibilities and tasks
Manage approval of new seeds with Tosci
Manage seed production with government entities, private sector producers and
out-growers.
Plan and manage products supply chain
Work closely with distributors and the whole seeds supply chain
Development and management of all new products from vendors
Daily reporting on production progress
Directs field operations such as grower contracting, planting, detasseling, field
inspections / mapping, harvest, etcIdentifies and implements product improvements to meet farmers needs
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agriculture engineering, Seed technology or
related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar filed
Experience in Seed production, registration and seed handling, or processing of
Seed.
Fluent in English and Swahili.
