Reports to: Head of Special Assets Management
Responsibilities
Devising strategies for turning-around of non-performing loans (NPLs) accounts under the unit.
Ensure timely closure of turnaround strategies for specific accounts as per approved unit target.
Developing objectives for the Unit in line with the Bank’s approved strategic goals and objectives.
Formulation of strategies for successful collection and reduction of non-performing loans.
Daily supervision of Relationship Managers (RMs) and Officers falling under the unit and ensure adherence and compliance with bank policies.
Coaching RMs and Officers falling under the Unit on implementation of their duties and improve their carriers
Identification of training needs and suggesting appropriate training programs for the Unit in liaison with the Head of Department.
Provide technical support to the Head of Department and management of the Bank’s on management of distressed loan portfolio.
To perform all actions needed to implement approved restructures or workout plans.
Review of credit request proposal or memos from RMs and Officers and provide appropriator recommendation for management approval.
Business visits, reviews, analysis and report preparation with recommendation to Head of SAM and/ or Management.
To handle and manage all clients’ queries/concerns/advise properly and timely with the purpose of creating and maintaining good relationship between the clients and bank

Knowledge and Experience
Academic:
Minimum of University degree preferably in accounting, Finance, Economics or its equivalent.
Master degree in accounting, finance and economics or its equivalent is desirable
Professional:
Relevant professional qualification in banking and credit risk management.
Desired work experience:
At least 5 years work experience in management of non-performing loan portfolio, and RM for Corporate clients.
Proven leadership and people management skills with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
Good Interpersonal skills.
Credit analysis and appraisal.
