PUBLIC NOTICE

 FIRST YEAR STUDENTS TRANSFER PROCEDURES FOR

 2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR

 Dar es Salaam, 3 "November, 2021

 1.0 INTRODUCTION

 As provided for by the Universities Act, Cap.  346 of the Laws of Tanzania,

 Section 5 (1) ().  grants the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) the mandate to establish transter procedures for admitted students wishing to transter from one university to another, whether the same or diferent program (Inter-university transter) or from one program to another within an institution (intra-university transfer) TCU wishes to inform the general public and all admítted students into vanious undergraduate degree programs in the 2021/2022 academic year that the transfer window is open from 1s to 14 "November, 2021.

 2.0 TRANSFER PROCEDURES

 The procedures for First Years' Transfers are as follows

 (a) Applications for transfers should be submitted in writing to the

 institution to which a student wants to transfer to;

 (b) Students transfer from one institution to another or program within

 the institution is permissible provided that institutions shall comply

 with the following conditions

 i) The student to be transferred must have been previously

 admitted into a degree program in the current academic

 year,

 1) The program to which transfer is sought must have empty

 slots to accommodate new students, and

 lin) The applicant must possess the minimum entry requirements

 for that particular degree program.

 (c) All transfers shall be processed at the receiving institution;  and

 (d) Receiving institutions should approve the transfer through their

 respectively Senates / Boards and submit to TCU for validation within

 the set deadline.

 All Higher Education Institutions and the prospective students are

 urged to abide by the set transfer procedures for the smooth

 coordination of transfers.
